'Medieval History' With Haydock High School & Creative Partnerships

This project is a collaboration between Haydock High School History department & Creative Partnerships.

We are asking the question:
“How can creative use of new media improve young peoples thinking & literacy skills?”

In order to do this we developed a scheme of work using a murder mystery, "Who Killed Ned Flanders?" as a thread with which to weave the young peoples interest through various Medieval themes, e.g. Crime & Punishment, Medicine, Food, & the Plague.

The young people have been given an evidence kit, and will have to work together using their speaking, listening, reading & writing skills, to solve the mystery.
